Seller's Description:
Good in Very Good jacket. A good copy of the first printing of the Subterranean edition in a very good jacket (book and binding have reading and shelf wear).
This series of stories of Master Li and Number 10 Ox is a marvelous pastiche on traditional Chinese storytelling. The reader is treated to a wonderful collection of tales that could only have been written by someone who truly loved and respected the Chinese folk literary tradition. This is well worth the time spent reading, and comes to an end all too soon.

Mythological China
I loved this book the very first time I read it. The Bridge of Birds is the best story, but the other 2 are very good (and often very funny). This China doesn't exist, but you'll wish it did.
