Ignor the "Star" rating...I couldn't get the "STAR" to move!! In my opinion this is 5+ Star book! Ed Hays...one of my favorite spiritual authors...uses his unique background to expand your views of the various messages and images of the Christmas Story. Certainly geared more towards adults and older children...the pictures are bright and so full of images that a young child could become lost in a world of imagination...(if they even KNOW what that is any longer!) I LOVE the story of the star awaiting the grand "Performance"...and the Sleigh who couldn't leave the ground until it discovered for itself what held it fast. Ed Hays takes liberty with the story of St.. Nicholas...but very creatively develops our more common "Santa Claus" image... Be prepared to have some of your images blown wide open! It's a MUST READ in my world!
