Six days shalt thou labour and do all thy work, is as really an ia junction of the fourth command, as is that which requires the keeping holy of the seventh da and a dis regard of this part 0 the precept leads, in many instances, to a viola tion of the other part. In conse quence of idleness, inactivity, and a careless neglect of worldl y affairs, during secular time, men too often hnd themselves tempted to attend to some pressing worldl y avocation. Which would never have occurred, if it had not been occasioned by the want of forecast, diligence, and ex ertion on the days proper for servile labour.
