The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding. Bookplate to the front paste down. 14 full page illustrations and numerous vignettes, headpieces and tailpieces, in a beautiful Art Nouveau style by Charles Robinson (1870-1937). Thomas Nicoll Hepburn (1861-1930) was a Scottish poet and author who wrote under the pseudonym of Gabriel Setoun. He wrote poems such as 'Jack Frost' and 'The World's Music. ' This volume is a collection of his poetry for children. 10 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart; colour is good and gilt is bright. A little fading to the upper extremities and the spine, and some wear to the head and tail of the spine, including a couple of small losses to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot, mostly to the first and last few pages. Very Good.
