The Catholic Bookman's Guide
I began exploring this book as a resource only and ended up reading it as a page turner novel. The amount of information on Pre-Vatican II works is astounding. Each chapter or section has an educational essay prior to providing the Bibliography regarding the subject matter at hand. I would easily consider this an excellent "trainer" of Catholic Bookman's information. Inclusion of the "Banned Books" - and why the Church felt they had the right to make a decision on what Catholics were allowed to read. How to read and review materials. Bibliography on the lives of the Saints, etc. Extensive materials, well written and annotated. Extraordinary reference source.
