I enjoyed this book so much that I have read two others by the same author. Excellent book by a real golf writer.

Wonderful book
This novel works on two different levels. It's a great golfing book, full of interesting history (now I finally know that a mashie is a 7 iron!). But more than that, it is a great human story, with characters you can really care about, and a believable and interesting plot. I enjoy Coyne's books so much that I make a point of paying full price for them, so that he will continue writing more.
