I used to drive buses for Bristol Omnibus and we always had the Bristols shown in this book. The pictures are fantastic, the colour ones especially and it was very emotional for me to see the ones taken in Bristol. I'd have liked to see more pictures taken were they were made. It is a well made book and from memory that seems very accurate. It is a very easy read, my 9-year-old grandaughter picked it up and din't put it down all afternoon - she loved seeing the buses her grampy used to drive. Its hard to get books like this these days so get it while you can. Full marks, Mr. Furness.

A fantastic read
I bought this book as I have long been interested in Bristol and ECW. It is well written, easy to read and I refreshingly free of enthusiast jargon so can be enjoyed by the general reader too. The photos and illustrations are superb and I learnt much that I didn't know about Bristol and ECW. The most interesting part was the technical details of the buses and the history of the company's. I thoroughly reccommend it to any student of transport.
