From somebody that has done most of the harrowing trip I was very excited to read it. It truly sounded like an adventure that we would have. I would have to say that it was seriously lacking detail. It truly lacked any relevance to the landscape that they were around, thus it has absolutely nothing to do with being a travel read. I enjoyed the parts about the girls and partying they did, but there were no specifics, with the exception of the mention of being in San Juan Del Sur in Nica. I was hoping to reminisce my trip or plan future ones but I truly wonder which parts the author has really been to? In Columbia he did a good job of portraying the heat that he suffered as a result of buying some drugs from a cop, that part did seem real, that would have to be the only portion of the book that seemed unmanafactured. It could have been an incredible read...maybe I'll have to pen it out.
