Hi, I'm Daniel, I am 53 years old, and in that time I've done a lot of different things. I worked in a Stone quarry for a few years, drove a semi for a few more, worked in retail a bit, and owned a gun shop. Somewhere along the line, I got an associates degree in wildlife management from Hocking College in southern Ohio. I've been fortunate enough to live in four different states and visit Hudson Bay and Saskatchewan during the fall migration. But, amid all that, there have been three constants in my life. I've been writing since I could hold a pencil. I've been hunting since I could hold a BB gun, and there have always been dogs. That old fellow laying on my lap in the picture is Bill, and he's the one who got me started on Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. He's been with me for 11 years no, and he's the partriarch of the dog pack that lives at my house, and like all Chessies, he's the epitome of loyalty, mischief, and heart.
