First separate edition, reprinted from then Historical Collections of the Essex Institute, Vols. XVI and XVII. 8vo. (4), 84 pp. Illustrated from photographs, portraits, ephemera, and tables, plates. Woodward Hudson's copy with his ink signature, dated in the year of publication on the front endpaper; Hudson (1858-1938) served as general counsel to the Boston & Maine Railroad, 1904-1925. Original green cloth, gilt spine title. Very good copy, with a nice association.
