Great thrilling paranormal read
The Boss was a great 5 star read and book 1 in the Fire's Edge series.
Finn is the leader of a group of dragon shifters. We get a glimpse into a very heartbreaking scene with Finn that shows us why he's against finding a new mate. But when he meets Delaney there is something that draws him in, the need to protect her.
Delaney has tried to flee her stalker and unexplained fires by moving across country. When another fire starts at the winery she is working on, she is terrified. There is something about Finn that she feels like she can finally open up to someone without feeling like she's crazy.
Will Finn and the team understand? Can they help her?
When they find out who/what is really after Finn things take a twist.
There is so much more to this great read. Finn and Delaney end up giving into their attraction and it's very steamy or should I say fire starting. There is danger, suspense, mystery, and so much more. I loved Delaney's sassiness and strength. All of the secondary characters were great and the dragons sounded really hot and were just like a huge family. I can't wait to read more from this series and I wouldn't mind some more from Finn and Delaney as well.
This is my first read from Abigail Owen and I was pleasantly surprised. I was pulled right in and didn't want to stop until I was done.
