Skinner's commentary on Isaiah (2 vols) was originally done in 1895, and revised in 1915. It represents a synthesis of the best wisdom of British Biblical scholarship on Isaiah as of that time. That scholarship has held up remarkably well for 100 years, more valuable than much of the faddism going on with Isaiah in the academic world in the last decades.
