Seller's Description:
Laura James (Cover art); Anna Manhart (interior) Fair. No Jacket. Book. Folio-over 12-15" tall. viii, 447pp. Folio size volume, with many illustrations. With marker-ribbon that admits to light to medium soiling and a short tear. Colophon page written by Gabe Huck. Decorative boards admit to light to medium rubbing in places on exterior, with several tiny worn areas to extremities, too. This particular wear isn't terribly offensive. Alas, someone outdid themselves and used gray duct tape to "repair" the front hinge, which apparently had been completely broken and is still somewhat loose. Several early leaves admit to noticeable creasing, and many other pages admit to some light soiling and a few tiny spots to lower portions where many grab a hold of a page to turn it. In addition to the tape repair, the binding admits to being a bit shaken, though the text block remains largely square and this a serviceable copy. Please note, too, that the gilt on the edges of the pages admits to fairly heavy wear. Any prospective buyer may take solace in the fact that this scarce volume is greatly reduced in price because of the condition, along with the fact that it is still usable, and, finally, that it appears to have been "well loved, " as some say.
