The collection of images in this book, there are works from different periods of my production linked by a dialogue between the body and the context, always trying to provoke with the representations, the objects, the theme and their own discourses, all that entails, to the reflections, that make it possible, through art, to find meaning in what happens in the environment, with its agreements and divergences. The human body in this exercise of lines, forms and concepts, erases borders. Although the lines, forms and concepts illustrate an imaginary, they are useless to describe the anatomical topographies that were useful as guides to the doctors in the past. Here I seek other readings and that they also serve as a witness for the reflection on the abysmal borders that fracture societies. (Roberto Rosique)The superb management of images in Rosique and his more than evident confidence in his anatomic knowledge (Let us remember that the first education of the artist was in Medicine) allow him expressions so convincing that perhaps outstand the phantasmagoric pretensions of the first surrealists. In the hands of Rosique, anatomy turns into a language with a grammar on its own and a syntax, a language whose morphology departs from art and arrives (through meanders) to science, in a paradigmatic course of an ethic strength and an argumentative structure that prove enormously coherent. In a latently paranoid society, Rosique offers to us the example of the body's insides, where an order similar to the divine order (which is natural order) reigns. That society, on the other side, considers the body like a subversion risk. In it he gets pounding the risk of sickness as a ticking time bomb: he is suspicion to be the likely future murderer of the person that dwells inside him. Establishing shall take place on the body of preventive and security measures born from distrust, and which superfluity is hidden by the lightness that fears have not been proven. This procedure can be called methodical pessimism.Jos??? Carlos Asensio (Critical Art, Madrid, Es.)
