Seller's Description:
Fine in Fine dust jacket. 0393059847. First edition. INSCRIBED by Honor Moore on title apge. Fine in fine dust jacket. Highly praised memoir. (G); 8vo 8"-9" tall; 365 pages.
This book is presented as a memoir, but that's not really accurate. It's the history of a kind of Brahmin American family. As such, it reaks of a kind of hubris-ridden self-pity that only folks with more money than they need and too much time on their hands have. Ultimately, after a lot of windbaggery about Wasp life it turns out that the author is a Lesbian whose Dad has always lived the life of a closeted gay. I know the critics like it, but I was bored!
