Vol. 3 in the series focuses on tracks produced by singer Leroy Smart (aided by an otherwise unidentified co-producer named Blackbeard, who is probably Dennis Bovell), and the results are impressive. Champion crooner Sanchez opens the program with a sweetly cheesy cover of "Three Times a Lady," and the balance of the album reads like a who's-who of early '90s dancehall culture: Pinchers, Frankie Paul, and Beres Hammond all make appearances, as does the inimitable Gregory Isaacs, in a combination track with the gruff-voiced DJ Action Fire.
