If you're a baby boomer and remember these albums at all, they're syrupy renditions of all the then-current Beatles hits, turned into "legitimate song" fodder by being played by old guys with violins who checked their rhythm at the door before the "record" button went on. This is actually a nice compilation, as it collects up all the biggies from five or six volumes (by my errant math) of this stuff, Beatle classics dutifully mummified for Mom, Dad and the Grandparents.
