Frances Ray hit the mark with this book. It was full of love and romance but it also had drama and intrigue. Alexandria and Thorne had totally different views of a womans role in society and in a marriage; but no matter how hard he tried he could not tame his wild spitfire wife.
What he eventually realized is that her spitfire ways is what made her more desirable in and out of the bedroom. No matter how uncontrollable she was during the day, she was weak when it came to controlling her desire for him. The weakness she had for her husband angered her because she did not want to be weak even when it came to desire. What she did not realize is that Thorne felt the same way when it came to his wife. He wanted to be the epitome of strength but when it came to controlling her in and out of the bedroom he did not always win. Eventually, the both realized that their unconventional marriage is why they loved each other so much. What started out as a marriage made from a bargain, turned into pure raw passion that they could not cool down no matter how hard they tried. Love conquered all.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance novels.
