I have been a fan of Andrew Neiderman since I found The Need years ago. This book was a great read as well. It is one of those books that makes you keep reading. With a plethera of characters that you will both love and hate, it only took a day and a half to read.
Set in the twenty first century, people no longer have natural births, and any woman who does is an outcast and subject to state laws. To help keep natural births in check Baby Squads are working throughout communities to disgrace those who are interested in or have a natural birth. You will love to hate the baby squad and its members. Twists and turns and murder keep this book going. Great read for a weekend away or just killing time at home. Check out the need, the curse and any other of Neiderman's books for a great read. Plus a number of them have been made into movies, some good and some not so great.
