It is remarkable that the Lord should pass by men of superior intelligence and learning in the country around us, and choose for this great work two poor men with hardly a fair English education, they having studied Rhetoric, Logic, and English Grammer only to a limited extent; and both being in poor health, Bro. Cargile finding it difficult to speak in public owing to the weakness of his lungs. But as George Trask once said, when told of his success as a temperance lecturer, It only proves that God can operate very successfully upon a small capital.
