A country in which the living played the game of 'let's pretend' with the dead. '; " binding firm although there is the beginning of a crack between the list of other works of the author and a blank front end page; illustrated end papers give helpful timeline; unfaded red boards with still clear gilt lettering and pictorial label on spine have minimal wear, having been very well protected by pictorial d.j. that is sunned on edges and on spine, and some rubbing at crown and a little rubbing at crown and foot of spine panel and at corners.
