Each volume with original brown full-leather bindings with red leather labels and gilt lettering on the spines. Boards with heavy wear and leather chipped and torn at the edges; volumes 2 and 3 with boards present but detached; pages dusty with heavy age toning and soiling. Fair only. Inscribed on the end pages by and from the library of Dr. William Washington Colfax and his son Dr. William Schuyler Colfax of Pompton, NJ. Unique as such. 402 pages + 420 pages + 357 pages.
