Bound in contemporary half polished calf and marbled paper over boards, spines stamped in black with two red titling labels lettered in gold, marbled endpapers and edges. Each volume inscribed in ink (dated 1867) on the front fly leaf. The marbled covers are rubbed, a few scattered abrasions to the leather corners and head and tail of both spines, modest dust soiling and some scattered foxing, about very good overall. A finely bound set.
