The Alpha & Omega Bible (AOB) restores much of the ancient writings. For example, during the Assyrian & Babylonian captivities, The Creator's Name was removed from the Old Testament. It is documented fact that words "The LORD" replaced the name of GOD. The AOB restores The Creator's Name of Jesus to the Old Testament. Therefore, you could call this "The Jesus Bible." Please note that this translation is not based on the Masoretic Received Text manuscripts (which the KJV is based on), but rather upon the "Alexandrian" text manuscripts but does take into consideration the Byzantine text. The AOB is based primarily upon the Greek Septuagint. In the attempt to restore the original scriptures, we consider the Dead Sea Scrolls, Paleo-Hebrew manuscripts, Old Greek manuscripts, the Samaritan Pentateuch, and over 35 translations/versions of the bible. This study bible also does not follow suit of the traditional Assyrian Babylonian doctrines of man's religions. Political correctness & religious tradition gets thrown overboard in preference for the unfiltered, uncompromised truth! If you want to stay in your comfort zone of traditional doctrinal errors, then this is not the bible for you. But if you sincerely want to grow in the truth, and are willing to go deeper into the word of God than you have ever gone before, then this is definitely the bible for you. Although the number of notes and cross references are not as great as most other study bibles, these notes don't obey the traditional denominational thinking, therefore give you a better opportunity to grow in truth. Please note that you are able to read and examine the entire AOB online (for free) from the publisher's website before purchasing. This bible is published by I Saw the Light Ministries. Search online for "The Alpha & Omega bible most accurate bible". However, the online version is only one volume for the entire bible, therefore will look much different, but give you the same translation and notes. However, the online version is kept constantly updated with new edits/improvements, therefore will vary slightly in notes & translation from the paperbacks which are normally updated every 6 months or less. We are always seeking to perfect the translation and add more notes and more cross references. The AOB is available in 5 volumes. This is Volume 2: History , which are the books of Joshua to 4 Maccabees, and thus includes the Apocrypha books of the Prayer of Manasseh, 1 Esdras, Tobit, Judith, the longer edition of Esther, and 1-4 Maccabees. Other volumes available are: 1. Torah/Law/Pentateuch 3. Psalms & Wisdom (Hagiographa) 4. Prophets 5. New Testament This is the large print color edition. (Larger than most bibles, but not giant.)
