Seller's Description:
41 plates, 81 figures. pp. xiv, 211. Very tall 8vo. Bound in original red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. A former owner has annotated chapter one with comments (probably quite some time ago, judging by the style of handwriting and the use of a fountain pen). The front hinge is cracked, causing the first few gatherings to become loose (but not detached). One plate is loose. The rest of the book (after chapter one) is clean and tight. The binding is a bit scuffed and lightly soiled. Overall, in good condition. Quite a scarce early study on the sinus cavaties and their anatomy. Not in G&M.
