Julian Hatcher has truly "been there" and writes extremely well. He knew almost every gun person from 1900 to about 1950, and worked with many of them. This book was written before the current fad in "plastic" handguns and the "spray and pray" method of their use. It is a true classic and should be in the library of any person really interested in firearms.
