The characters (katie and Ramon) appeal to me because their values and beliefs are similar to mine, and I can only dream and continue to strive for the strength and discipline that they exihibit when dealing with the obsticles that they have to overcome in order to get to each other.
The main theme for me is just impossible to fathom (high risk, high return) as I am not a risk taker by nature, and so intensifies my fasination in reading about how they , (Ramon and Katie) handled their situation successfully.. In real life if the situation posed were an investment venture and I a financial advisior I would tell my clients to stay away.
Their succusses keeps me hopeful and inspiried. The author (Judith Mcnaught) has the gift of using words to totally take you on a roller coster of emotions with the characters in the most intense way so you really feel everything that they are feeling.
The book, was really wonderful to read and the emotions it evoked can only be described as hot and delicious.
