This book is great for teens. The nver ending love trinagle found in the small town of Smallville is both sweet and fraustrating. Everyone is chasing after someone they can't have. None of the characters are mature enough to vocalize their feelings, which makes them more realistic. The characters sound and act young. Okay, Clark might have super powers, but he is shown to act like a normal teen boy. In general this is a great novel.
