This volume focuses on Killip's remarkable Seacoal and Skinningrove series, documenting communities living in the region's declining industrial landscape, and where, in the words he used to describe the Seacoal beach, 'the Middle Ages and the twentieth-century intertwined.' The Tate Photography Series is a celebration of photography by artists in the Tate collection, presenting some of the most significant photographers in the world today.
