I LOVED this book as a child and its sequels are just as funny. Peter has this bratty little brother who goes by the name of Fudge. Fudge can do pretty much whatever he wants while Peter always seems to get in trouble with their parents. Peter has to find his beloved pet turtle from Fudge. The ending was rather sad for Peter. A realistic ending where nothing much has changed. Fudge is still a brat and his parents do nothing. Its all done with light comedy and anyone who had younger siblings can relate to Peter.
