Die Erl???uterungen uber die Be ziehungen, welche zwischen der chemischen Zusammensetzung und der Krystallform der Mineralien bestehen und die Grundlage der Systematik derselben bilden, waren bisher meist in den Anmerkungen vereinigt mit den Angaben uber weniger genau bekannte und ihrer Stellung nach des halb unsichere, meist auch wenig wichtige Substanzen. W???hrend letztere naturgem???ss fur die Studirenden meist kein Interesse darbieten, bilden jene Erl???uterungen das Wesentliche zum Verst???ndniss der chemischen Verh???ltnisse der Mineralien, daher eine Trennung beider geboten erschien. Diese ist nun in der Weise erfolgt, dass jede wichtigere, resp. Besonders lehrreiche Mineralgruppe durch eine allgemeine Erl???uterung ihrer chemisch krystallographischen Verh???ltnisse eingeleitet wird, auf welche dann die Zusammenstellung der chemischen Formeln und krystallographischen Elemente der einzelnen dazu gehorigen Mineralien folgt, . So dass die Anmerkungen sich im Wesentlichen auf Zus???tze beschr???nken, welche von geringerer allgemeiner Bedeutung sind oder noch unsicher bekannte, resp. Seltene Mineralien betreffen, welche lediglich der Vollst???ndigkeit halber aufgenommen wurden. Dadurch glaubt der Verfasser es erreicht zu haben, den Studirenden, namentlich denen der Chemie, fur welche ja die Mine ralogie eine unentbehrliche H???lfswissenschaft ist, eine ubersichtliche Dar stellung der jetzigen Kenntniss von der chemischen Natur der Mineralien und von deren gegenseitigen Verwandtechaftsverhaltnissen zu bieten.
