Seller's Description:
Very Good in Very Good jacket. 9.25 x 11.25. Dust jacket has minor wear and small edge tears. Book has minor wear. Binding tight. No writing. 96 pages including 2 appendixes and index. The Maori have developed a form of weaving that doesn't use tools or looms. Using nothing but plain or dyed flax fibers and fingers, they weave plain cloth with colorful bands on the edges. They incorporate lacy patterns into the color geometric designs. This book shows you step by step how to do the weaving to make cloth items such as belts and wall hangings. There are no projects to try, just various stitches explained and combinations to try. The book is illustrated with black and white pictures showing how to weave and color illustrations of finished projects.
