Asking for Earth's help and technology, Captain Thomas Jackson is sent with a new, faster ship and a team of doctors to combat the deadly Yersinia pestis. While carnage erupts over elections, the bacteria is released on the ship. Torpedoes start to fly, and Jackson is faced with the ultimate horror for any astronaut.
