This book contains mostly quotes taken from many excellent sources as shown in its bibliography. The stories are informative and interesting and combined with the author's text, give a view of the campaign which is not found in other books.
What I would have liked to see more of is the author's evaluation of how accurate each of the more sensational quotes are as well as the source of the quote. While the author does give the name of the person quoted, there are no foot/end notes so it usually is difficult to locate the source.
Regardless, it is a good read but difficult for research use.
