Sadie: The start of the great adventure to Switzerland: A super exiting adventure where my dreams came true! I got to meet Dorothea in Z???rich. It was lovely to see her smiley face as i arrived in the airport lounge, ready for our big adventure, travelling around in Switzerland. We took a trip around the Z???rich Lake, by boat, which was really lovely. Stopping off at all the little connection points, taking in the scenery and the sights. And this huge, beautiful, amazing, stunning lake! Until we reached the end of our journey, where we stopped for some lunch. My first experience of Swiss food, R???sti (fried potatoes) with salad and vegetables. We took the train back to Z???rich to our hotel. Dorothea: I invited my online friend to do a tour around Switzerland in May 2023. On the 19th of May I met her at Z???rich airport for the 1st time. The next day we took a two hour boat ride on Lake Z???rich to Rapperswil and proceeded from there to Grindelwald. We stayed one week in Grindelwald, travelling to Grosse Scheidegg, Grindelwald Schreckfeld, took the gondola up to Eigergletscher (2328m). from there to Kleine Scheidegg and by train back to Grindelwald. The following day we took the Postauto to Wetterhornhotel and hiked up to Milchbach Restaurant, which is actually closed. On the same day we explored Gletscherschlucht. Before moving on to Brienz we took the cable car up to Pfingstegg and hiked back down to Grindelwald. In Brienz we visited the Strandbad (swimming pool at the lake), since the weather was hot. Next we went by postcar up to Axalp and hiked on the Woodcarving Trail. From there to Bramisegg and walking up to Schweibenalp, where a Babaji Ashram is located. After lunch we hiked down to Giessbach Falls and got refreshments at Giessbach Hotel. By boat back to Brienz. Since it was pre season there were no tours in Interlaken. We walked along the river Aare and later took the boat to Iseltwald. We enjoyed lunch close to the lake and went for a short walk, then by boat back to Brienz. The next day we took off to Zermatt and since the weather was good we took the train up to Gornergrat, where we enjoyed the view of the Matterhorn. On the way to Basel we made a stop over in Montreux and walked to Castle Chillon along Lake Geneva. In Basel we visited the village I grew up in and the surroundings. The next day we took the small ferry across the Rhine and later visited the natural outdoor pool in Riehen, since the weather was quite hot. Next our tour took us to Lucerne. From Lucerne we travelled to Bern to meet up with another online friend. In Lucerne we visited a Strandbad again, encouraged by the heat. Then we visited the L???wendenkmal and Gletschergarten. Last, but not least we went to see the Rhine Fall, after getting back to Z???rich. On the last day we enjoyed the swans at Lake Z???rich. I hope you enjoy this book!
