This is the full screenplay of "Sweet Sweetback's Baadassss Song". It contains the shooting script and a journal, giving the story behind the uphill and at times hysterical struggle to make it. It also includes the soundtrack of the film on an audio CD-ROM. The band Earth, Wind and Fire recorded the whole of the soundtrack for the movie. This was before they had become successful, and partly why they became so successful.
