God gave Suzanne both a lifetime protector and the Bible as an encouraging reminder that when he said he will never leave nor forsake us, HE MEANT IT. Although Suzanne was not aware of these Scriptures during her unspeakable episodes of child abuse, it does not change the fact that the Scriptures were still with her. John 1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him, all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1: 1-5. In other words, the Word of God transcends the parameters of space and time. It is the personification of God himself even before he created the world, and it brings light to the world that will unfailingly outshine the darkest depths and valleys of life. Given that the Word of God already existed even before it was written, we know that the Word of God surrounds us and, as such, God's Holy Spirit is always with us. Sweet Daughter of Eve proves this very point by applying relevant Scripture to each scene of abuse.
