This book aims to depict the recent initiation to evaluate the efficiency of a nation in converting wealth to well-being in terms of Sustainable Economic Development Assessment scores (SEDA) specially analyzed for the global powerhouse countries accommodating 78% of the world's population and 87% of income. The world leaders now aim at establishing an overall development scenario rather than only considering the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) a true reflection of countries well being. SEDA measures sustainable development with the help of three broad dimensions namely economic, investment and sustainability. The chapter initiate by representing country profiles of 36 power house nations of the world and also their performance in terms of dimensions and indicators of development considered as a true representation of well being. Countries are individually compared with their own development differenced by time and also with the rest of the world. The analysis has been taken to the next level in order to compare between nations with respect to some macro-economic fundamentals. The position of the countries in comparison to their peer countries are reviewed. The analysis depicts that countries with very less population are rich and developed in some cases. Countries at similar levels of income have different well-being scores and also countries who have weak GDP/capita are also very weak in well-being. Some countries have started well in terms of SEDA, but that does not necessarily mean they have depicted an outstanding progress in Sustainable economic development assessment. Some countries are really good in growth and increasing their developmental scores (keeping in mind BCG identified parameters of sustainable development). The nations are also identified who have done exceedingly well in individual dimensions of development. Countries who have outperformed in individual dimensions can offer best practices to other nations.
