The sounds on Surrealism are slick, deep, and mellow, but they're not as incongruous as the title suggests. The collection does give a decent overview of downtempo's more pop moments and there are plenty of great tracks. King Kooba and Rae and Christian both deliver tracks that are a cinematic kind of melancholy.
