Original hardcover cloth is heavily sunned on the spine with about 40 percent of the spine chipped off, with rubbing to the extremities, and moderate browning and soiling. Lacks the dustjacket, but protected in custom stiff archival mylar. Illustrated by 65 black & white photographs and plates. Printed on pink, green, yellow and white paper. Minor soiling to endpapers and the margins of a few pages. Limited to 1500 copies printed at the Marstin Press, New York, under the direction of and for Caresse Crosby. The cover for the book has been made from an original design by Joseph Cornell. First edition.
