Great Vintage Title!
If you collect barbecue cookbooks, or know someone who does, this is definitely one to add to your collection. This book contributed to the widespread use of outdoor cooking in the West, being one of the first cookbooks that also explained how to build your own barbecue. Remember, in 1945 you couldn't pick up a Weber kettle grill at your local hardware store! Detailed instructions for outdoor cooking areas, with plans, comprise the first part of the book. Tips and accessories are included. A short section of menus and recipes follow. The recipes are rather basic compared to today's tastes, but do explain things like pit roasting entire pigs. A wonderful historic book that any avid Q-er would love!
