As New. #140 of 400 copies of the original 1974 book publication sheets reserved for creating this 1985 special edition. Bound in brown cloth with gilt rule and housed in a slipcase with matching cloth and marbled paper covers. SIGNED by the photographer on first white blank page. Limitation plate affixed to front pastedown. As new condition in nearly as new slipcase; on lower edge of slipcase there is one 1/8" x 1/4" spot near one corner where cloth has been abraided away, otherwise excellent shape. As called for, an ORIGINAL photographic print, "Backlit Sunflower" is laid between book and slipcase wall in a folder, as issued. This print has been signed by the photographer in pencil on rear and bears stamp on rear stating "Special Edition Print Sunflower Book 1985" Also laid in is a brief folded birthday gift note on plain stationary in the author's hand and signed "Paul" for the recipient. Finally, the original prospectus for the limited edition is folded and laid in.
