Some of the information about storing garden raised produce, I already knew, but most of it, I did not.
We raised winter cabbage in our garden this year. We have stored it according to this book's directions, and at this point in mid-winter, the cabbage we sstored is keeping perfectly. The heads are sweet, good flavored and solid. We are enjoying organically raised cabbage that is at least a dollar cheaper per pound then the store bought cabbage.
If you don't know anything about storing produce and even if you know a little as we did, I recommend this book. The directions are easy to understand and follow and inexpensive.

tHIS IS AN EXCELLENT BOOK FOR ANYONE. iT COVERS ALL THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU WOULD REQUIRE TO EAT IN A SELF SUFFICIENT WAY.
