Near Fine. Limited Edition. 210 copies printed. Essay on Stevenson's tobacco habit. This copy unnumbered. The artist's personal copy (so stated on limitation page). Etched portrait of Stevenson signed by the artist. Additionally INSCRIBED by the author to the artist: "To Arthur N. Hosking, who fashioned this casket for my trifling prose, Will H. Low, 4 September 1922." Laid in is a copy of a photograph of the cottage where Stevenson lived, with annotations on the verso. Also laid in at the rear is the original text as it first appeared in the N.Y. Evening Post, with comments regarding layout and font. A near fine copy, endpapers browned as a result of the lay-ins. As usual, the extra proof of the portrait mentioned on the colophon has not been preserved.
