Die Griechen selbst verwendeten hierf???r den Begriff "Stasis". Gemeint war damit das Auseinanderfallen einer politischen Einheit (Polis) und die gewaltsame Austragung der Konflikte innerhalb eines Staates. Die folgende Arbeit befa???t sich beispielhaft mit der dorischen Stadt Megara und zeichnet die dramatischen Ereignisse der Jahre 430-420 v. u. Z. detailliert nach. Besonders interessant ist das megarische Beispiel mit seinem Konflikt zwischen oligarchischer und demokratischer Partei u.a. auch deshalb, weil die Ereignisse sich zeitgleich und in mannigfacher Verquickung mit dem peloponnesischen Krieg zwischen Athen und Sparta abspielen. Kernfrage der Arbeit ist eine korrekte Einsch???tzung der dem Konflikt zugrunde liegenden politischen und sozialen Hintergr???nde, die auch einen Beitrag zum Verst???ndis der griechischen B???rgerkriege an sich liefern soll. Inhaltlich gliedert sich die Arbeit in eine Beschreibung der geographischen Verh???ltnisse, der historischen Zusammenh???nge und des Konfliktes selbst.
