I like free-wheeling writing and humor set in an off-world environment but this book possessed none of the hooks that make for a good sci-fi novel (or any worthy novel really).
The story was based on a decent premise but the author's style was woefully juvenile and unstructured.
I wanted to play along with the kooky characters but they were so predictable and thinly-fleshed out, I could not believe or care about them.
In fact, I was cringing a lot at how bad the dialogue was. I'm quite verbal-oriented and found the grade school level interactions offensive to my intelligence.
