The author painted a real human side of the secret service and the work they do. He lets you see their dedication to their sublects and the toll it takes on their personal life. We are lucky to have such people. The book was a pleasure to read.

Fascinating!
It's a terrific book; an inside look at protecting, from Ronald Reagan to Dan Quayle, to the pope. Petro gives us a look at the Secret Service, but this is mainly a story-driven memoir, which worked well. Definitely worth the read.
