This is a true story written by Ebony M. Jones-Kuye who wanted the world to know about the courageous stand that her mother took against one of the richest and prominent men in the world. Ebony carried the torch to fight Donald Sterling when her mother died in 2005. These women fought poverty, physical challenges, racism and discrimination, tragic loss of a son and brother, and insurmountable circumstances in their lives. I love this book! This woman and her mother went through so much in their lives and survived which is amazing! I didn't expect this book to be so good! I was looking for a book to read and I came across this interesting story. Ebony and her mother are really hero's that stood up to Donald Sterling and his racist viewpoints. I love that Ebony has decided to share her story with the world. I remember seeing this story last year on the news and it's a damn shame that Mr. Sterling is still doing evil to people according to news articles. I would recommend everyone to read this book! I hope Ebony continues to write and I will be following her to see what she does next! Good job Ms. Jones-Kuye for writing a lovely and real story! I will be telling all my friends to get your book!
