English summary: Bernd U. Schipper places the "Book of Proverbs" in the context of the ancient wisdom literature of the Near East and at the same time, as a genuine part of the Old Testament. As a work of literature from the time of the Second Temple Period, the "Book of Proverbs" was shaped by the theological debates of that time, such as the meaning of the Torah and the laws of Deuteronomy, or the practical way humans live according to the will of God. In considering ancient Near Eastern parallels, the textual materials can be analyzed in new and productive ways not previously considered, such as the relationship to the wisdom literature of the Egyptian New Kingdom and late period, but at the same time, the text also shows itself in its final form as a work from the late-Persian and early Hellenistic period, produced by scholars who were deeply steeped in the writing of ancient Israel.
