Jene evolutionsgeschichtliche Notwendigkeit, welche Charles Darwin mit dem Selektionsprozess begr???ndete, ist in der modernen Zivilisation lediglich nicht mehr ein ???berlebenswichtiges Kriterium. Trotzdessen kann das "Streben nach dem Bessersein [...]" (Figura, 2008, S. 43) als ein zentrales Leitmotiv menschlichen Handelns verstanden werden. Jener Sachverhalt ist, in stark ???berdimensionierter Form, im Gesellschaftsbereich des Spitzensports beobachtbar. Die sporteigene Bin???rcodierung in Sieg und Niederlage sorgt in diesem Zusammenhang f???r die Legitimation jeglichen regelkonformen Interagierens. Laut Bette (2010, S. 90) f???hrt dieser Siegescode zur Exklusion vieler zugunsten weniger, da prinzipiell nur ein Sieg zu vergeben ist. Die immer wieder notwendige Aktualisierung des Gewinnerstatus und der damit verbundenen Ertr???ge, wie Selbstbest???tigung, Ansehen und auch Existenzsicherung bringen die Aktiven in nicht wenigen F???llen dazu den gegebenen physischen und psychischen Begrenzungen mit devianten Ma???nahmen zu begegnen. Das Problem des Dopings im Leistungssport ist allen Involvierten wohl bekannt und lie??? zahlreiche M???glichkeiten seiner Bek???mpfung emporkommen.
